We heard from other birders we met during the trip about their good luck at Ramsey Canyon a couple days ago. Perhaps it was bad timing, but when we visited it was disappointing. There was almost no activity even at the feeders in the nature conservancy. We hiked all the way to the outlook and down, an almost three hour effort. The trail was very quiet. The only highlight is this deer fawn, presumably a white-tailed, encountered with its mom not far from the trailhead. |
