This image was the stack of 15 light and 10 dark frames by Sequator with the following setting: Composition (Align stars, Freeze ground, Selective), Sky regions (Irregular mask), HDR (On) Reduce light pollution (Uneven), Color space (Adobe RGB). Curve adjustment was applied in Photoshop, as well as Dfine2 with luminosity mask. The focal length used was even longer (24 mm) with a different lens. The Milky Way shows more details, and many more stars are more distinctive. However, some stars appear red and close examination reveals that's due to a red halo around them. Yet the halo is not centered on the star, which may suggest it could be star trail. However, I have no clue why the trail would be red. While 10s is considered short enough to avoid star trails according to the 500 rule, it will be interesting to experiment with even shorter shutter.
