This and the next image are different stacks of the same 5 exposures. This one was done completely in Photoshop, with manual aligning (auto aligning did not work well in this case) and median stack. Adjustments applied included Brightness/Contrast, Exposure, Curve, Color Balance, Vibrance, and noise reduction (Nik Define2 with luminosity mask). No specific light pollution removal was performed. The same 5 exposures were separately auto-aligned and median stacked by Photoshop to improve the foreground which was then brushed onto the Milky Way stack. In both cases stacking greatly reduced noise compared to the original single exposures. The photos were taken on a windy night, however the impact of the wind on the result was not obvious.
