The eclipse started around 1:07 pm and ended around 4:00 pm. I took photos every 5 minutes or so during partial eclipse, and those went into this composite timeline were 10~20 minutes apart.
As predicted, traffic became a nightmare in the eastern seaboard. Many who drove home right after the eclipse found the trip took twice as long as it would normally. Accidents kept popping up. Imagine spending 15 hours on an 8-hour trip and getting home at 3:30 am instead of the evening before. I heard similar accounts from friends and co-workers driving up I-95 as well as I-81. Yet they all said it was absolutely worth it, and I agree. Time to plan for 2024. |
