| Time went by fast in totality - it wasn't long to begin with, only 2 minutes and 37 seconds at Clemson. When I thought it was half way through and just pressed the shutter for my fifth group of bracketed shots, the sun reemerged. My camera was still on settings for totality so all three photos were overexposed. Nonetheless I was very glad that I took them when I did because they captured the moment of Baily's beads effect, which refers to the intense ball of white light at the 3 o'clock position. It happens just before or after totality when the sun is mostly behind the moon, yet valleys and grooves of the lunar topography allow beads of sunshine to come through.
全蚀时间过的飞快 – 本来在克莱姆森也就只有2分37秒。 我觉得时间刚过了一半的时候正在照第五组曝光包围，结果按快门的同时发现太阳已经出来了。虽然这三张都曝光过度我还是很高兴，因为它们恰好拍到了“贝莉珠”现象。这个指的是3点钟位置的那个白亮的光珠。这种现象只有在全蚀之前或之后一瞬才有可能看到。在这一刻虽然太阳整体被月亮挡住，但还是有少量直射光线通过月球表面的沟沟壑壑漏了过来形成这个珠子。 |
