This is a wild juvenile bird and it is hard to tell its sex. The Desert Museum is an excellent place to start our southeast Arizona trip. It offers exhibits of an array of things you will encounter in the nature around the area, including wildlife, plants, and even rocks and minerals. It is almost like a crash course for someone who has never been to the area before. Our favorite is the hummingbird aviary, where several species of hummingbirds zip around through visitors and opportunities for close up viewing and photographing are plenty.
